Early-stage E-commerce Product

Early-stage E-commerce Product

about.

This project involved creating a direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce platform for a clothing company that was solely concerned with online clothing sales.
The scope included the customer-facing shopping experience as well as an admin interface for product, inventory, and order management.

The objective was to develop a simple, scalable, and user-friendly experience that prioritizes usability, lowers purchase friction, and facilitates effective daily store operations.

Defining user roles, organizing flows, creating core screens, and establishing a consistent visual direction were all part of my job's end-to-end design process.

challenge.

The primary challenge was to create a comprehensive e-commerce experience for clothing within a limited scope, with a seamless shopping flow that prioritized size selection and clarity. Key challenges included ensuring customer simplicity while maintaining operational efficiency, managing inventory at a size level, and creating a neutral UI system in the absence of a predefined brand identity. To align with user goals, the project required prioritizing core features and making deliberate decisions about inclusions and exclusions.

results.

The project finished in a well-structured e-commerce solution with a simple customer flow for browsing clothing and an operational admin interface for product management and order processing. A clear visual hierarchy, simple navigation, useful workflows, and scalability for future modifications were important design standards. The project highlighted the importance of scoping, prioritization, and role-based design, especially in early-stage product development.
