Fur Care is a pet adoption and rehoming app designed to connect potential adopters with shelters and pet owners while guiding them through the process. Research revealed that first-time adopters lacked guidance, lifestyle matching was rarely considered, and existing processes were time-consuming. Early designs also presented usability issues, with users finding the homepage confusing and navigation unclear. These insights underscored the need for a clear, user-centered solution that addresses both adoption and rehoming challenges.

Through user research, affinity mapping, and iterative design, Fur Care evolved into a streamlined adoption platform. The final solution introduced a dual-tab homepage separating adoption and rehoming, improved navigation, and a simplified profile section to track applications. By focusing on pet discoverability, guided processes, and trust-based rehoming, Fur Care demonstrated how UX design can simplify adoption, reduce rehoming rates, and build user confidence in the process.
